Psycho Soldier Theme (2025)

"Psycho Soldier Theme" is a remix of the main theme from SNK's classic side-scrolling platformer Psycho Soldier, and sometimes considered the main theme of the game's protagonist, Athena Asamiya. It is notable for being the first video game song to have recorded vocals.

The track comes in two versions, in the original Japanese and the translated English version. However, both have significant differences, mainly in the English version; as it lacks a second and third verse, the arrangement adds a saxophone solo and replays the first verse in their place. The song's lyrics were composed by Eikichi Kawasaki and is sung by Kotera Kanako.

The song was added in the v6.0.0 update to Super Smash Bros. Ultimate as a part of Challenger Pack 4.
