Next week sees a major event for public sector IT in the UK - THINK Cloud for Government 2014.
Why major? Because, in the words of the event’s creators, “For decades, public sector IT has been dominated by multi-year, multi-million pound/dollar/euro contracts.
“All this changes with the Cloud.”
Chaired by well-known Cloud expert and commentator Stuart Lauchlan, the day features high-quality presentations from a range of heavy-hitters from central government and the supply side.
Thus the opening keynote is from no less a figure than Whitehall’s chief operating officer, Stephen Kelly, who is succeeded by the Government Digital Service’s COO and deputy director of operations, Tony Singleton.
The agenda then includes thought leadership from major UK public sector cloud vendors such as Huddle, salesforce.com, IBM, Accenture, cloudBUY and Eduserv – as well as other leaders in central and local government ICT.
The event is co-sponsored by noted research group 451, which will also be speaking.
Taking place on Tuesday March 25 at the prestigious Business Design Centre in London, the conference and expo is expected to attract at least 400 public sector ICT buyers.
The event, now in its third year, will be an excellent place to hear about the latest trends in government cloud, as well as learn about best practice and network with your CIO peers, say the organisers.
24n.biz will be reporting from THINK Cloud for Government 2014 – the UK event for anyone seeking to engage with the latest knowledge and developments surrounding the game-changing area of cloud in the public sector.
See you there!
